Article 1 - ORGANISER

This contest is organised without any purchase obligation by Van Laere International nv/sa with registered office at Zwaarveld 48, B-9220 Hamme. The competition is valid from 01.06.2024 to 31.12.2024. There will be one winner each month. The winners will be announced via email on the first working day of the following month. These rules describe the conduct of this competition and lay down the conditions of participation.

Article 2 - COMPETITION PARTICIPATION

All natural persons resident in the European Union may participate in this competition. Minors (-16) may not participate in this contest.

Article 3 - COMPETITION ACTIVITY

To participate validly, the participant must give the correct answer to the question; “How many unique products can you find on the HEROCK® website?” and complete the rest of the competition form in full.

Article 4 - THE WINNER

The winners will be contacted via email.

Article 5 - PRIZE

The winners will receive a full HEROCK® outfit consisting of the: SPARO trouser, HERO hoodie, HORUS cap, VERIN belt, CARPO socks and TALIN safety boot.

Article 6 - RULES AND ACCEPTANCE

By taking part in this competition, the participant accepts unreservedly all the provisions of these competition rules. Participants wishing to obtain a copy of the complete rules may send a request to Van Laere International, accompanied by a stamped envelope addressed to themselves.

Article 7 - INTERPRETATION AND EXCHANGE OF LETTERS

Any dispute concerning the interpretation of the present competition rules as well as any situation not provided for in the rules will be settled by an internal jury set up by the organiser. With the exception of the cases mentioned in article 4, the organiser will not answer any written, telephone or oral questions concerning the interpretation or application of the present competition rules, the course of the competition or concerning the list of participants or the winners.

Article 8 - Verification of compliance with the competition rules

Winners and participants agree that the organiser has the right to verify their identity or place of residence as communicated at any time. The submission of false, incomplete or incorrect information regarding identity or address (e-mail or postal address) will automatically result in the disqualification of the participant concerned.

Article 9 - LIABILITY

The organiser reserves the right to postpone, modify or cancel the competition as a result of force majeure or any other cause beyond the organiser’s control (such as, but not limited to, technical incidents related to malfunctions of the computer system used, fraudulent access to the computer system, breakdowns, interruptions or delays in the telecommunications networks). The organiser also excludes any liability for problems related to electronic data transmission that may prevent participants from participating in the competition or validly registering for the competition. Nor can the organiser be held liable for any damage of any kind resulting from the award of the prizes. Among other things, the organiser also excludes any liability for any defects in the prizes.

Article 10 - protection of personal privacy

he organiser shall act in accordance with Belgian legislation on the protection of privacy (Law of 8/12/1992). The personal data collected from the participants in the context of the competition will thus be processed by Van Laere International as data controller. By taking part in the contest, the participant gives his/her consent to register his/her personal data in the files of Van Laere International. These data will be used to manage the competition and identify the winners. In accordance with the law, participants may access, modify or have their data removed from the database. Participants who wish to have their data deleted during the course of the competition accept that this will automatically terminate their participation as, without registration, they cannot be included in the list of participants.

Article 11 - VALIDITY

If any provision of the present rules is found to be illegal, invalid or inapplicable for any reason, that provision shall be deemed to be severed from the competition rules and shall in no way affect the validity of the other provisions. The provisions so separated shall be interpreted and/or replaced by valid provisions with the same purpose and effect, or by equivalent provisions or provisions as close as possible to the original provision.

Article 12 - APPLICABLE LAW AND COMPETENT LAW COURTES

This competition is governed by Belgian law, regardless of the regulations governing conflicts of law. The participant accepts that any legal action resulting from his/her participation in the competition or relating to the competition rules shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts (Belgium) and he/she agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of these courts in the context of such action.
